3. Tughlaq Dynasty (AD 1320-1414)
• Ghiyasuddin Tughlaq (Ghazi Malik) founded the dynasty. His son Moharmmad-Bin-Tughlaq (called Prince Jauna) succeeded him.
• He introduced adrministrative reforms.
• He undertook 5 armbitious projects:
(1) tazation in doab,
(2) transfer of capital from Delhi to Devagiri (Daulatabad),
(3) introduced token currency,
(4) Khurasan expedition,
(5) Qarachil cxpedition (in North-East)
• Firoz Shah Tughlaq succeeded Mohammad-Bin-Tughlaq.
• He was the first ruler of Delhi sultanate who wrote his autobiography 'Futuhat-i-Firozshahi.
• He introduced new taxation Jizya a separate tax.
• He repaired canals and imposed Hasil-i-sharab (water tax). He established a new department Diwan-i-Khairat and a hospital Dar-ul-Shifa. and made
4. Sayyid Dynasty (AD 1414-30)
• It was was founded by Khizr khan. , Khizr Khan took the title of Rayat-i-Ala and not of a king.
5. Lodhi Dynasty (AD 1451-1526)
Bahlol Lodhi was the founder of this dynasty.
Sikandar Lodhi, son of Bahlol Lodhi, shifted the capital from Delhi to Agra. He introduced 'Gaz-i-Sikandari (a system of measurement).
